After a mild winter, northern Michigan got hit by a blizzard the evening of March 2nd. Snow is the yard was over my knees and I sent my grandson to shake the snow from the poor birch tree before it broke. When I saw the sketch at Sketches In Thyme I knew it would be perfect for this picture.
