Walk with Dad

The Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs is weddings. This layout is of my daughter's wedding in 1997. (I didn't start scrapping until 2009, so I'm a little behind.)

Gifts

Followed sketch #78 at Sketches in Thyme for this layout. Managed to fit three pictures on an 8x8 layout.

For Baby

I had so much fun making footprints yesterday that I did another layout, this time using challenge workout #68 at ScrapFIT - to use mist. I used Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mist in Lily Pad.

Smile

Another layout for the baby shower album. Sketch is from Stuck on U Sketches. The doilies are for challenge workout #67 at ScrapFit to use a doily. The title is for the challenge at Bird is the Word - Smile.

Congrats

The challenge this week at Lasting Memories is Leaving Footprints Behind. I thought that was perfect for a baby shower album. I remembered how we would make footprints on windows using the side of our hands and thumb prints. I laid my hand on paper and traced around the side, cut out four copies, used a paper punch to make 16 circles for toes and then placed my "foot prints" on pink cardstock and misted with glimmer mist in marshmellow. These are much easier to see in real life. All the guests at the shower signed the baby blanket with a fabric pen.

Party

Used Sketches in Time sketch #77 for this third 8x8 layout.

Games

Followed the sketch at Purple Pumpkins for this 8x8 layout.

Me... Big?

I'm making a scrapbook for a friend covering her baby shower. It's 8x8 and I didn't realize how challenging it would be to try to get as much detail and embellishing as I wanted into the smaller space. I followed the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch.

Honors

I used Creative Scrappers sketch #208 for this layout of my grandson's sixth grade honors presentation.

Another card

Another card for The Sample Kit Club's cards with numbers challenge.

Birthday card with numbers

The challenge at The Sample Kit Club is to make a card with numbers on it. I highlighted the 18 as that's my grandson's age.  Too bad none of the bingo cards had his birth date as well.

Going home

Used the sketch from Lets Get Sketchy for a layout of the sunset pictures my grandson took on the way home from a trip.

Radiant

I love this sketch from Creative Scrappers with the double doilies. The girls are my beautiful daughters in 1997.

Oops

I love this sketch from The Paper Variety. My grandson forgot his black shoes so it was grandma to the rescue. I had asked to take a picture of him in his tux but he said no, not with his white shoes. Then after the concert he changed before I could get a picture. Good thing I snapped these.

Mom

The sketch is from The Sampler Kit Club. The layout is of my daughter (mom to two boys) on mother's day.

Tae Kwon Do

My grandson was in a Tae Kwon Do tournament last month. I made a layout following the sketch at Frosted Designs. Paper is DCVW, title is Thickers from American Crafts, buttons from my stash.

Subtle Beauty

I used the sketch from Stuck On U Sketches and the challenge from Lasting Memories to celebrate mom, for this layout of my mother. The photos are from the mid 1940s which would put her age at 22 to 25. Also linking this to Link Up Tuesday at Pink Cricut.

Spring Concert

This layout of my grandson's spring concert follows the sketch at Artful Delight. It was the last concert of his senior year - probably the last time to see him play.

Celebr8

Followed the May 11th sketch at Boys Rule for this layout of my grandson's birthday.

Gone Fishing

The challenge this week at Lasting Memories is "Something Smells Fishy". Who says you need water to fish? I made a layout of my grandson fishing off the back deck in 1998.

Sorry the colors look so washed out. The background is actually a pale green.

Family

I used sketch #206 from Creative Scrappers for this sketch of my daughter and her boys from 1998.

Waiting

The Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge is to lace something. I'm not sure what to call the blue with all the holes, but I got a huge roll of it from Goodwill on Saturday for $1.99. I felt it would be useful on boy layouts and used orange ribbon laced through for the challenge.

Hanging with buds

I used the sketch from Boys Rule for this layout of monkeys from the trip we took with two of my grandsons in April.

Penguins

I followed the sketch from Feeling Sketchy for this layout of my grandsons at the zoo.

Everyone WANTS you

The challenge at Lets Get Sketchy is to use white plus one color. Instead of trying to save all the mail that my grandson received during his senior year I took pictures of some of it to make this layout for his album.
