Blooms

I used the sketch from ScrapFit Workout #74 for this layout of the only flowers that did well in my garden this year. The butterfly mask is actually a plastic floss holder that I got at a thrift store this weekend. Doubt I'll ever store floss in it.

BINGO

I hope you can still see the sketch from Stuck On U Sketches in my layout because I tool lots of liberties with it. I used two photos of my daughters playing bingo instead of one and my embellie is under the photos instead of on top. But it is where I got my inspiration.

30 in 30 Challenge

My friend Melissa, at LaLa Creates announced an awesome challenge - 30 pages in 30 days - no daily requirements.

What a wonderful way to get some pages done while having fun and receiving inspiration. Go check it out and ask for an invitation to join. See you there.

The Hotel

I used the August 15th sketch from Stuck?! for this layout of memories of the hotel in Anchorage.

Shopping

I took pictures of the different statues / mascots and signs in downtown Anchorage but didn't know how I was going to scrap them until I saw this sketch from Stuck One U Sketches. Thought is was cool that the store window behind the wooden Indian has a sign for the conference my daughter was attending.

Whee

What says summer to you? To me it's the sight of a ferris wheel. My son, his wife and their son had a great time on this ride. I am linking this to Paper Issues for the "What makes you think of summer" challenge.

I Remember

I used the sketch from Creative Scrappers and the "I remember" challenge from Scrap Fit - workout #73 for this layout of my brother and I from 1957.

Wake Up

The tan bear was lonely because the white bear was sleeping. He/she would go to the right corner, howl, look at the white bear and then come back to the left corner and look at us, over and over again.  I used the sketch from Stuck for this layout of pictures from the Alaska Zoo.

Time To Party

The challenge this week at Lasting Memories is A Special Celebration. I used pictures from my grandson's graduation party for my entry layout.

5th Grade

For this layout of my son and his 5th grade class I used the challenges from Scrap It Girl (Numbers) and Scrap Fit Step Class #7 (pinwheels).

Sweet Girl

I didn't plan on this layout - it sort of took on a life of its own. I used the sketch from Frosted Designs and the word challenge (sweet) from Paper Secrets. I am also linking this to Link Up Tuesday on Pink Cricut.
Layout is of my oldest when she was in first grade.

dalton

Sketch is from Sketches in Thyme #87. Challenge (school) is from Use It Up Tuesday. I used Crate Paper - farmhouse collection sheet Apple pie, plus bits of school theme pp from my stash, plus buttons and twine also from my stash. Layout is of my grandson's 6th grade school picture.

Zach is 8

Sketch is from Paper Secrets. for the August Challenge.  I used "For the Record" from Echo Park, plus cardstock from my stash for the base and stars. My grandson didn't want a birthday cake this year, he wanted brownies.

Perfect Pitch

Sketch is from Sketches In Thyme and color challenge (red, white, lt. blue and blue) is from Color Me Scrappy. I couldn't get a good photo with my phone (colors show wrong) so I took a close-up of the journaling to show that the background is white and the paper is red.

Exploring Self

Sometimes it's hard to get a boyish feel to a layout, so besides using blue and brown as the colors, I used buttons, stars and cardboard. Sketch is from Boys Rule.

Pretty Thief

The challenge at Berry71Bleu is wings. I decided to use wings in the picture as well as butterflies for embellishments. While in Alaska I saw a magpie for the first time and thought is was so pretty. Later I was told that these birds are thieves, similar to the bluejays back home - stealing eggs from other birds' nests.

Tranquil

I used the same papers and flowers for a second scenic layout from the grounds of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Sketch ia from Creative Scrappers.

Serenity

I used the sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches for another Alaska layout. These pictures are from the grounds of the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

Illuminate

I turned the sketch from Artful Delight sideways for this layout of the jellyfish at the Milwaukee Zoo. I love how these animals were lit.

dude

I used the sketch from Frosted Designs and the challenge to use silver from Lasting Memories for this layout of my grandson looking cool. Since the photo was black and white and the sketch in black, white and gray I thought black, white and silver would be perfect for the photo.
