Welcome to the World

I used sketch #36 from Sketch N Scrap for this layout about new baby Bridget. Papers are Indy Chic, letters are thickers.

Bridget

The challenge at About a Girl is to use the sketch, flowers and torn paper. Easy right. Love the sketch and love to use flowers. How hard would it be to rip paper? Just pull the paper upward while holding down the patterned ruler. You know if I didn't want the paper to rip it would be in shreds, but it was hard to get it to tear along the metal edge. Baby is the niece of a co-worker who asked me to make an album of the baby shower and baby pictures.  Journaling is date in lower left.

Android

Used the week 3 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for a layout of my grandson's birthday. Took the picture with the hidden journaling showing.

Where Time Stands Still

I was intrigued by the half photos in the week 2 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and had to give it a try.  I also used the challenges from About A Boy to catch the wave / feature water and Frosted Designs to do a layout about the great outdoors.  It's been so hot here that I haven't been able to even enter my craft room for days, so I really enjoyed being able to scrap today, although I'd rather be with my grandson out on the water as in the picture.

I used the July sketch from Artful Delight for a layout of the fireworks my daughters and I saw on July 4th. The girls choose to go into town to watch the fireworks over the bay.  I worked until nine and decided to stop at the ball stadium on the way home to see their display. Of course the ball game went extra innings and the fireworks didn't start until 11:24.

I also followed the challenge at Scrap Our Stash to use 3 pre-made star embellishments. Red Carpet Studio's challege is to use stars. I've had the star confetti forever, as well as the felt star.  I think the patterned paper is from Target's dollar section from a couple years ago. Again I've journaled way too close to the edge to be able to crop the picture well.  I just don't learn.

Next up is Lori. Hop on over to see her fabulous project.

In case you get lost here is the entire lineup.

Crazy Boys

I used the sketch from Stuck?! for a fun layout of two of my grandsons. Only Dalton would take a photo of his eyeball and post it for the world to see. (And for grandma to copy and scrap).

I used the Red, White and Blue challenge from both About a Boy and Scrap It Girl
