All Boy

I love this photo of my first grandson and used it with the sketch from Frosted Designs.

Mark's First Birthday

This layout, of my son's first birthday, is based on the sketch at Lasting Memories. He was a real cutie in his red suit. And how about the smiley face cake his great-aunt bought. Good thing he doesn't visit my blog, since the picures are from 1980.

Scrap Our Stash

When Denise at LaLa's World first mentioned Project 2011 and scrapping our stash, I felt I could do it easily. After all I have enough cardstock, paper, adhesive, ribbon and embellishments to keep me busy for years. Unfortunately it only took nine days for me to forget I wasn't supposed to buy anything. I went to Joanne's to look for something and ended up buying seven 8x8 paper pads on clearance. Then I won two RAKs on blog hops and received big boxes of goodies. So even though I made 14 layouts in January, I must sadly report that I have more scrappy stuff than I started with.

Toys & Fun

Above are the January 1st sketch from Stuck?! and the layout I made. The photos are of some of my co-workers and the fun we had pre-Christmas 2010.

LOVE 1924 STYLE - part 2

Based on
Based on the sketch at The Paper Variety, this layout is two more weddings from May 1924.  The photo on the left is my grandmother's brother Paul and his wife Catherine, the same couple who were attendants at grandma's wedding earlier in the month. The photo on the right is grandma's sister Amelia and her husband Mike. It's fun to see the styles from the 1920s.

LOVE 1924 STYLE - part 1

This layout is of my grandparents wedding in 1924. Picture are Catherine (Paul's fiancee), Paul (brother of the bride), Rose (sister of the bride, seated), Frances (bride) and Fred (groom). Got to love the hats. Based on the January 15th Sketch at Stuck! and entered also at Scrappin-n-chattin.

Who?

This layout is based on the sketch 97 at The Scrappiest . I was recently lucky enough to meet online distant cousin who had scanned all the photos in my great-aunt's album. I had all 105 pictures printed and was excited that this photo was taken at my grandparents' house according to the caption. Then I discovered a few problems. My grandparents married in 1924. The boys in the picture appear to be between 3 and 6 years old while the names are for a child born in 1914 and one who doesn't exist. So who is in the picture? This layout also works for the white background challenge at the yahoo group scrappin-n-chattin
