The challenge this week at Lasting Memories is Recipe Time with a Little Twist. We are challenged to use:
1 photo
2 embellishments (I used buttons and butterflies)
3 colors (I used brown, red and green)
and to use song lyrics.
After picking this picture I typed the words "lyrics boxes" into google and found a song by Charlie Winston called "Boxes". The lyrics I used are "Who am I supposed to be? With these empty building blocks I can be a thousand me's." These reason I loved this picture of my grandson is because when his dad was the same age he also played in the boxes that my office supplies came in. My son doesn't remember so I had to journal his story on this layout. Who needs toys when you have an imagination?
Supplies used:
Cardstock from my stash
Patterned Paper from DCWV
Butterfly punch from EK Success
Buttons from my stash
You have until 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th to join us. Make sure to visit Lasting Memories and check what the other design team members have created for you.
That's an awesome idea with googling what you want the song to be about! I love google..he he he! I think the lyrics are totally fitting and I love that you were able to get that of your grandson and remember your son too! Now THAT'S scrapbooking memories!!
