First Doll

When I saw this doll at a thrift store I knew I needed to get pictures as this was the first doll my oldest daughter had back in the mid-1970s. I asked my daughter what happened to her doll and found out she still has it, but it's not in as good a condition as the one in the pictures.

This layout is for two challenges - the sketch from Frosted Designs and the colors from the photo inspiration at Papercraft Star to create a project that includes: At least one die cut or stamped image, a metal element or button and two different patterned papers. My die cut is the circle (cricut -george and basic shapes cartridge) done in chocolate brown.

  1. Great take on both challenges and what a treasure to find something like that at a thrift store and then to find out your daughter still has hers..Aaaaw!!
thnx for playing along with us girls over at Frosted Designs

  2. How neat. Did you buy it for her (even tho' she still has her original?)

  3. Great take on the sketch, love the soft pinks with the punch of green. I still have my first doll now my daughter has it.
