Here is my project. A layout of my daughter, from 1974. (Okay I'm a little behind on the baby pictures.)
One of this month's challenges at S-n-C is "out of the box" - try something you've never done before.
I first painted the chipboard letters white.
I used a glue stamp pad to cover each letter with adhesive quickly.
I then sprinkled the letters with glitter. Very messy but I'm happy with the outcome.
I have some blog candy to offer you. For a chance to win become a follower and leave a comment by midnight EST on Sunday August 15. I'll announce the winner on Monday, August 16th, so be sure to check back then.

Here's my secret word for you: FOR

Love the layout! I haven't tried chip board yet either, although I have used the cardboard backings from paper packs for heavier material. Glitter is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYou are not behind! This way you can pick out the cutest or most important pictures/memories from your children's lives and it will be a much more balanced scrapbook! I have been putting my boys' stuff in envelopes because at 2 and 3, if I start now, I will have too much for the first couple years. The advice to save until later came from my husband grandmother, who is also an avid scrapper.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love your glitter alphas - they look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI love the letters... really fabby job!
ReplyDeleteI'm a self-proclaimed Glitter-Phobe, but you've made this page look wonderful!
