Finally got my mojo back and started on the Christmas layouts. My son was pleased to receive a "thumbs up" statue from his sister and I used sketch #241 from Creative Scrappers as my inspiration for this layout.
I used the sketch/color/handmade banner challenge from Sketch With Color and the theme Something Old, Something New challenge from Lasting Memories for this layout of my niece and her newest grandson. The papers and thickers are old, the green flowers and of course the baby are new.
My oldest grandson got his first job in October, but hates to have his picture taken. I used the sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap to make a layout of a couple pictures I was able to get, plus a picture of the first endcap he set by himself.
On 22 Dec 2012 two of my children plus nieces and cousins took part in a flash mob/round dance in support of the First Nations people of Canada. I used the sketch from Boys Rule for the top layout. The second layout is for the four photo challenge on the yahoo group Scrappin-n-Chattin.
ScrapFIT Workout #83 challenge, Wish Upon a Star, is to use stars. The challenge at Scrap It Girl is to use bling, glitter, shine and sparkles. I used glimmer mist in marshmellow, liquid pearls in silver pearl, shiny silver flowers and red gems and stars punched from silver paper for a layout of my niece and her new husband.
The challenge at Red Carpet Studio is anything goes. By sure to check out these challenge sites and take part in the fun.
I used the sketch from Artful Delight for the layout of Laura and I. It was the last day we worked together After more than three years as she got a job in her chosen profession and was leaving retail. One of the guys in the background is my grandson - it was his first job - and also the last day we worked together as it was a seasonal job for him.
