New Best Friend

Another layout for my grandson's album. I used the sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap, the challenge from Lasting Memories to use silly, humorous moments caught on camera, and the challenge to use die cuts from Use Your Stuff. I recently moved part of my craft room into my bedroom and while the cricut and all the cartridges remained downstairs I made room for the Big Shot and the gear die.

the beach

After making a layout of my grandson at the beach seen here, I used the scraps (plus a few other scraps) for a layout of my son. I am entering this at Lasting Memories for the scraps everywhere challenge to use scraps of patterned paper.  (I could probably do this challenge 100 times and still have scraps left over.)

I combined the week 3 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy with the Red Carpet Studio beach challenge for this layout of my grandson playing at the beach.

Young @ heart

I used the mood board from Scrap Around the World for this layout. I took the flowers and all the pink for my inspiration. I also used the challenge from Scrapping4funChallenges (lace and buttons).

Party

I used the sketch from Stuck?! and the challenge (birthday) from Scrap It Girl for this layout of my grandson's 7th birthday. Look at the expression on the guest's face in the center photo.

Project Life - butterflies

The Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches is to use butterflies on a project life page. I have butterflies on both the first day of Spring and Baby Jude's pockets. 

Waiting

The challenge at Connie Can Crop is Green with Envy. Here is a close-up of the bling on the butterflies.

Lily 2013

I used the fantastic sketch from S.W.A.T. and the challenge to use sparkle from Craft Hoarders Anonymous for this layout of the lily plant in my front garden.

On Cue

I used the sketch at Stuck On U Sketches for this layout of my son and two grandsons playing pool. I am also entering this at Off the Rails Scrapbooking for the anything goes challenge.

Celebration

The song for the current challenge at A Song in Your He{ART} is Celebration by Kool and the Gang. My idea of a celebration includes pizza, so I made a layout of my grandsons eating pizza at their cousin's birthday party. The name of the restaurant is Sauce.

Kaden Unleashed

I finally had a chance to play in the craft room. So I used the week 1 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy (yes I know it's almost the end of week 2).

I also used the week 1 challenge from Lasting Memories "Alpha Wars" to use 2 or more different alphabets/fonts.

Today

I am a guest designer at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges and the challenge is flowers. That's my kind of challenge. I love making my own layered flowers. The white are paper from a can of flowers purchased at Michaels. The larger blue are fabric from a lei and the small blues are also fabric, purchased from a thrift store. Of course a couple of butterflies with some bling and a charm managed to sneak in there also.

Time Flies

The current challenge at A Song in Your He{art} is Time Flies by Johnny Reid.

I used the following lyrics:

"We all laugh and we all cry
we all live and we all die
but through it all and in between
Time flies"

for this layout of me. Journaling says "Did I really turn 62 this year? Wasn't it yesterday (or 1959) when I was in 2nd grade? -- Feb. 2014"
