ScrapStuffz is a new "inspired by" challenge blog and showed three squares to be inspired by. Once I saw the pink with stars block I knew that was what I wanted to use for my layout.
Then I saw
About a Girl's challenge to use a sunburst. I have never made one before, only used pre-made patterned paper, so I drew some lines on the back of the pink paper, numbered the pieces, cut them out and used only the even numbers on white paper.
Scrap The Girls challenged to use the saying "A smile is the best makeup a girl can wear" so that became the title/sub-title. Then
Use It Tuesday's challenge "You Can't Touch This" is to use something you have been hoarding. I found the large flower from Maya Road that I won last year, the sprig of flowers/leaves that I got at a yard sale and was saving for the "right" time to use, the left over pearls and small flowers hiding in a drawer and the charm that I bought because it was cool but never opened the package.
Added a picture of my daughter smiling (I'm pretty sure her sophomore year) and now I have one of those layouts that I think I'll frame for awhile before adding to the album.
