In the Middle

Based on the sketch at Scrappin-n-chattin this layout is for the challenge at The Paper Variety to make a summer themed project. I used Artful Delight's June kit. Love the sewing pattern paper flower. The photos were taken at the 45th parallel, half way between the North Pole and the Equator, in 1982.

Great Aunt Marie

This layout is based on the sketch at Papercraft Star. Okay, so it's a card sketch, but the rules didn't say it had to be a card, just a project and since I'm not that great at cards, this is what I made. Great-aunt Marie never married, so she won't have a wedding page in the family heritage album, therefore this is her page. There is no date or place given, but I'm guessing 1940s Milwaukee. She was born in 1909. Paper and letters from the Artful Delight June kit.

Miracle

Based on this week's sketch at Sketchy Thursdays this layout is of my niece who was in a coma and not expected to wake. On the day of a cousin's funeral my niece woke and asked what happened. She has since been released from the hospital, fully recovered. (Made with the June kit from Artful Delight and prima flowers.)

BFF

This layout of my girls when they were little is for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge theme of friends and follows the sketch from Artful Delight  for June. I used the Artful Delight June kit (except for the quote which I printed). Whenever the girls would fight when they were young I would remind them that friends might come and go, but your sister is always your sister.

Logan

The challenge this week at Lasting Memories is to use the above sketch and lots of bling. I made a layout of my youngest niece, Logan.

United

The challenge at Papercraft Star was theme (wedding or anniversary) and photo inspiration.

The layout is my great-uncle's wedding in 1928, attendants are his brother and sister. Sketch is from Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine.

B-ball

Another "last minute" entry. This layout is based on the sketch at Sketchy Thursdays - need to link by 10 p.m. tonight. My son played basketball with his nephews on Mother's Day. The oldest boy told the others, "Don't worry. Uncle Mark will play for 10 minutes and need a nap."
