..Explore..

Used the sketch from The Sample Kit Club for a layout of my grandsons exploring the grounds at the Soaring Eagle casino.

Happy Holidays

Sketch #150 from Let's Capture These Sketches was perfect for this layout of my grandsons visiting Santa in 2007.

Silly Child

Used the sketch from Paper Secrets for this layout of my grandson sitting in a bedding cube at Sears.

School Days

For this layout of my grandsons' first day of school I used sketch #2 from Sketches in Thyme, the challenge from Connie Can Crop to use a pennant or flag and the blog challenge from Colorful Creations to scrap about everyday life (I figure going to school is an everyday event), must have numbers and must have at least 3 stars.

Family Reunion

Sketch #17 from Sketch-N-Scrap was used for this layout of a part of my family at a reunion. I know some people can't make a layout without lots of patterned paper, but I couldn't find any to match the colors I wanted so I went with mostly cardstock.

Kids Quest

Another layout with a mind of it's own. I started with the sketch from Mothers of Boys Scrapbook and these pictures of my grandsons.  Planned on using red, yellow and blue when the red polka dots kind of took over and wanted a gray background and black, white and red accents. Kids Quest is the name of the arcade I took the boys to in August.

Call Me

The challenge at Lasting Memories is "ribbon, lace and pink". I found this picture of my daughter taken in 1977 when corded dial phones and special telephone tables were normal. Now my grandkids don't even know what these are. The sketch is an old sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches. Glad I bought the ruffled pink ribbon at the thrift store. This is the third layout I made this month with lace around the flowers - really like the look.

only little once

When I first saw this sketch from Stuck On U Sketches I thought it would be good for a layout of my grandsons. I love using circles. But while looking through pictures I found this one of my daughter when she was around two and totally changed directions and made a frilly girl layout.

Bash

I used September sketch #1 from Sketches In Thyme for a layout of my grandson's birthday bash. (His last name is Basch).

Serious

I used the sketch from Stuck?! for this simple layout of my grandson and his prize.

On The Trail

Above is the sketch for the challenge at In My World. I used it for more pictures from my trip to Alaska.  Paper is from DCWV, flowers from Recollections, centers of little flowers made with liquid pearls, title is thickers, leaves and half pearls from my stash.

Grandma's Boys

Here is the reason I love Boys Rule - my six grandsons. Sorry the photo of the layout isn't straight.

Before

I used the sketch from Lasting Memories for this page about my parents for my Book of Me.

Awe and Wonder

I love the sketch from C'est Magnifique and used it for a layout of a picture from my trip to Alaska. I am also linking this at Pink Cricut for Link Up Tuesday.

Very First Day

I used Creative Scrappers sketch #225 for this layout of my youngest grandson's first day of kindergarten.

Champion

I used the sketch from The Scraproom Blog for this layout of my great-niece. She won 1st place in her age group.

Baby

On the yahoo group "Scrap With Friends" we are working on our "Book of Me".  This week's challenge is a page about my birth. I used the September 1st sketch from Stuck?!.

Prizes

I love the sketches at Boys Rule and this one is no exception. Journaling says how he is the kind of kid who will not let me take his picture, but give him some prizes from the arcade and he's ready to pose.

Wished Upon A Star

Don't you just love it when things just fall together? I saw this sketch from Creative Scrappers and thought I couldn't do a long, long, long, long, long title. Then I saw the challenge at Lasting Memories "It's in the Movies." I came across the quote first and suddenly there was my long title and my movie tie in (from Pinocchio) then found the picture of my oldest daughter at two months. Didn't have enough thickers in white, but love how it turned out with the three different colors. Now if I could just get that song out of my head. I am also using this for Link Up Tuesday at Pink Cricut.

12

Above are the colors for challenge #11 at Color Me Scrappy. Perfect for a layout of my grandson's 12th birthday.

Mark

I turned the sketch from Artful Delight on it's side for this layout of my son. I used red, white and blue since the photo was taken in the U.S. Senate.

Dance Crew

I used the page drafts sketch from the Paper Secrets September 1st challenge for this layout of my son and grandson. "Cutting off" the edge of the photos/mats felt a little strange at first, but I really like the outcome.

Zooper Trip

From my second vacation in June, another zoo layout. This time I used the awesome sketch from Stuck On U Sketches.  Sorry the picture of the layout isn't straight.

3rd grade

I love this sketch from Authentique Paper and their Journey collection was perfect for this layout of my grandson's school picture from last year. (Figured I better get it scrapped before this year's pictures are taken.)

Quest

The August 31st sketch from Boys Rule was perfect for this layout of my grandson's trip last fall.
